First Calendar Year Full-Timing by the Numbers

Six months ago we marked our first year on the road full time RVing and wrote two posts about this milestone. Patricia posted more about the travels (read here) and I posted about the numbers (read here). Now it’s time for a post about our first calendar year full-timing. So for 2016…..

Miles Driven:

We still aren’t towing the Honda behind the motorhome yet. That is being remedied this week! The mileage represents travel from the southwest to Oregon and back to the southwest. Low miles on the motorhome during the summer months due to our state park volunteering June through September.

Motorhome – 6874 miles (573 monthly).

Honda CRV – 20,100 miles (1667 monthly).

Campsite Costs:

Number of days free camping:  312 (85% of the year!)

Number of days paid camping:  54 (15% of the year) – Averaging $16/night

National Parks: Zion, Joshua Tree, Grand Canyon and Saquaro

National Monuments: White Sands, Organ Pipe, Tent Rocks and Gila Cliff Dwellings
